The National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test is the largest entrance examination in the country for admission to medical, dental, and AYUSH courses in the country. NEET was implemented by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) in the year 2016, replacing the existing AIPMT for admission to medical and dental courses of the country. The National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET-UG) is being conducted once every year by NTA since 2019 for admission to the undergraduate medical education, with the approval of the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare and MHRD.
A total of 91,927 MBBS, 27,698 BDS, 52,720 AYSH seats, and 603 BVSc &AH seats will be offered through the 612 medical and 317 dental colleges through NEET.

The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) comprises of about 200 Questions from Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology. Each subject has 50 questions, out of which Section A comprises of 35 Questions while Section B comprises of 15 Questions. Students can write a Max of 10 out of 15 Questions from Section B, thus making it 45 questions each Subject with 4 marks each, making a total of 720 marks. There is also -1 negative marking for each wrong answer. Duration of test is 3hrs 20 min and the exam is conducted in an Offline mode. (OMR Sheet)
